Cartographer v4 (Standart) Mount

This mount is designed to be used with the Cartographer 3D v4 (Standart) probe. This is a side mounted design, featuring zero Y offset, reducing the effects of Axis Twist.

Mounting

The Cartographer 3D Probe can be secured to the mount using M3x4 screws. Since screws in this exact size can be difficult to source, we recommend shortening the screws that come with the probe to the appropriate length.

The mount self-indexes using the two prongs located on the left side of the toolhead and is secured with two screws. The two extra stainless steel screws included in the Creality toolbox are compatible and can be used for this purpose.

Please note that the screw holes on the stock Creality K1 toolhead are plastic and designed for self-tapping screws. Do not overtighten the screws, as this may strip the threads and damage the mounting point.

Probe Configuration Values

Make sure to set these correct values for the probe offset in the config for the Cartographer Probe.

x_offset: -16.0

y_offset: 0.00

In the bed mesh section for the Cartographer Probe You'll also need to make sure to set Your new min and max to these listed values.

Printing

For improved aesthetics and stronger screw holes, we recommend printing the model in a vertical orientation and placing supports manually.

Increasing the wall count and infill density will result in a more durable and reliable part.
