One of my most common problems is that I have a huge pile of M5, M6, and M8 screws, but almost no M3 or M4 screws. Since I changed both the size and the nut mounting, I wanted to publish this as a remix

The model is a slightly modified offset version of the block itself and a redesigned clamping plate, which, due to the countersink, allows me to reach a lot tight spots as possible with this slimmer version.

Parts & Materials

Cut the sandpaper to a length of 290mm - you will need an M6 square or hex nut & a 15mm M6 countersunk screw

I recommend printing the block ABS and outer walls first - I’ve had good results with it in terms of clamping force

I also made a TPU version, but 95A was too flexy for me, however, I think it will work with little more shore

EDIT: Though I expressed my frustration with my supply of screws above, I've created a two-thirds version with M4 mounting

The model measures approx. 95 mm × 10.5 mm. For this, cut the sandpaper to a length of 190mm & use an M4 nut and a 12mm M4 countersunk screw

EDIT2: Since the TPU version was too flexy for my needs, I've made another using TPC 60D and a rigid clamping plate as well as a scaled down hole and a slightly increased wall thickness at the bottom - this combination works great and delivers with fine grits
