DN40 Special Parts

This is a collection of specific DN40 parts I designed for an electrical installation using DN40 pipes as an outdoor underground cable duct system.

Straight Pipe 40mm

Base model of a straight pipe with minimum length (40mm). This design can be printed without support.

Elbow 100mm

90° Elbow with a radius of 100mm. Standard parts are not convenient in case you want to use the DN40 pipes as a cable duct. For printing you need support (see Elbow 150mm).

Elbow 150mm

90° Elbow with a diameter of 150mm. This is useful in case you additionally want to insert a 32mm flexible cable duct. For printing you need support, but only outside:

Plug

Just a standard DN40 plug I started with to check compatibility.

Drain

Special plug to realize a drain. I used for an underground cable duct. Optionally, an additional filter mesh can be clamped in place with the filter plate and 6 screws (2.9 x 13mm). This keeps out dirt, insects or other small animals. For the filter I used glass-fiber fabric.

Foot End Gaskets

Gasket for 2 cables to be sealed at the foot end. The gasket is split into 2 parts to be added to an existing cable installation.

For fixation you need:

- screw M3 x 25mm

- nut M3

The gasket is available in 2 variants:

- 8.5mm and 11mm

- 8.5mm and 6mm

Head-End Gasket

Gasket for 2 cables to be sealed at the head end. The gasket is split into 2 parts to be added to an existing cable installation.

For fixation you need:

- screw M3 x 25mm

- nut M3

The gasket is available in 1 variant:

- 8.5mm and 11mm

Base-Plate for Cable Entry

This is a base-plate to realize a dual cable entry using DN40 pipes. It is designed like a head end of a DN40 pipe, so it can be realized by inserting 2 DN40 pipes. The base-plate needs a flat area of 155 x 72mm.

You need:

- 6x screw M4 x 12mm

- 6x nut M4

- 2x DN40 rubber gasket

- some tape for sealing the base-plate (recommended)

1.25inch Pipe Adapter

This is an adapter to connect a DN40 pipe to a threaded 1.25 inch pipe. I used it for a cable duct solution to guide the cable from an outside camera through the ground to the connection box:
