Ford Fiesta Mk7 Dashboard Phone Holder (Customizable Modular Design)

This is a modular phone holder designed specifically for the Ford Fiesta Mk7 dashboard.

Unlike vent mounts or suction mounts, this design clips around the factory radio display surround, providing a clean and secure mounting position directly above the centre console.

The design consists of two main parts:

- Dashboard mounting frame that clips around the radio display surround

- Phone holder that slides into the frame using a dovetail connection

An optional third part can also be printed:

- Support bar that helps secure the mounting frame in place

One of the challenges with this location is that the available space varies depending on the width of your phone. As the phone holder extends further away from the radio display, the available width increases.

To help accommodate different devices, multiple versions of the mounting frame are included with different offsets from the radio display.

My personal setup uses:

- iPhone 13 with a protective case

- 93mm offset from the radio display

You may need to experiment with the different frame versions to find the best fit for your phone.

Custom Holder System

To make the design more flexible, I have also included a standalone dovetail connector piece.

This allows you to design and print your own phone holder or accessory while maintaining compatibility with the dashboard mounting frame. Simply incorporate the dovetail into your own design and it will slide directly onto the mount.

Print Details:

- Material: PETG minimum

- Recommended: ASA or ABS for improved heat resistance

- Layer Height: 0.2mm

- Supports: Required for hex frame

⚠ PLA is not recommended due to the temperatures that can be reached inside a parked vehicle during summer months.

This provides a clean OEM-style mounting solution while remaining fully customizable for different phones and future accessories.
