Parametric Ventilated Whirlpool Funnel

Inspired by the Better Ventilated Funnel on the front page, I wanted to make one that would create a whirlpool and potentially have improved flow. Designed from scratch in OnShape.

Either print in vase mode or use the following print settings:

- 0% infill

- 0 Top shell / roof layers

- 0 Bottom shell / floor layers

- 2-6 wall loops depending on desired strength (0.8 - 2.4mm thick walls)

You can customize your own whirlpool funnel by following the directions in the Parametric Whirlpool Funnel.pdf or by opening this OnShape project while logged into an OnShape account (free).

Copy the project to your own profile, then set your desired Inlet Diameter and Outlet Diameter .

Once you are happy with your settings, right click the "Whirlpool Funnel" part at the bottom of the screen and select "Export"

If you are in the southern hemisphere, try mirroring the model horizontally to send the whirlpool clockwise instead.
