- QIDI Q2 Riser

Another QIDI Q2 riser designed to stop the PTFE tube from scraping against the glass while printing.

I wanted to make my own version, so I took inspiration from a few popular Q2 risers and built this design from the ground up.

- Design Details

This riser lifts the glass cover by 45 mm , while still allowing the glass to slide backward for improved airflow.

It includes eight sliding vents around the perimeter, which can be opened or closed while the glass cover is in place.

The two original locking tabs that held the stock glass now secure the riser, preventing it from lifting or shifting during use.

Each frame piece is designed to push-fit together (or can be glued) and then placed directly on top of the printer.

Adds 45 mm of height and provides more control over airflow.

Example print was made in PETG using the following settings:

- 2 walls

- 15% gyroid infill

- Tree supports enabled — build plate only (mainly for the small underside overhang)

- Print orientation: flat on the bed
