Recommended Print Settings & Filament Selection

⚠ Important Material Recommendation: Because stove knobs operate near heat sources (ovens/cooktops), PETG, ABS, or ASA is highly recommended over standard PLA. PETG provides superior heat resistance and mechanical toughness to handle repeated torque without cracking or softening.

- Filament: PETG (Recommended), ABS , or ASA (PLA can work if kept away from direct heat exposure).

- Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.20mm for smooth finish and tight tolerances on the inner shaft.

- Walls / Perimeters: 4 - 6 perimeters (Crucial for strength around the inner 8mm shaft socket so it doesn't split under turning force).

- Infill: 25% - 40% (Gyroid or Grid).

- Supports: None needed (print flat-face down or stem facing down depending on orientation).

- Fitting Tip: If the fit on your 8mm stem is slightly too tight due to printer elephant's foot or filament expansion, scale the model by 100.5% or 101% in your slicer, or use Horizontal Expansion / XY Compensation settings.
