Detachable USB-C Mod for Corsair K95 RGB

The K95 platinum is a great keyboard, but the permanently affixed cable is bulky and inconvenient for quickly swapping out boards. This mod seeks to rectify that.

Tested and holding up after a few months of use.

This will void your warranty if you have one. The auxiliary USB port will no longer function. You may irreversibly damage the keyboard if done improperly. Do this mod at your own risk!

- Remove keycaps and screws to open the keyboard - Remove and cut the fused-in cable block near the top - Place the type A breakout board into the 3D printed part and solder connection to the keyboard wires - Connect the chassis grounding cable to USB ground - most adapters do not pass earth ground through - Position the printed part in the same place as the original part - Install the type C adapter and superglue into place - Reassemble the keyboard Material

I recommend printing this part out of Flexible Resin or TPU (Shore 85/95). Other materials may work, but the fit will be tighter.
