💡 Replacement Adjustment Knob for WMF Pepper or Salt Mills

A precision-fit spare part for the ceramic grinder.

The thread on my original WMF pepper mill adjustment knob was stripped (worn out). Since the official replacement is only available as a costly set including the entire ceramic grinding mechanism—and because dimensions are reported to have changed in newer versions—I decided to create my own design.

🛠 Installation & Requirements

- Requirements: A compatible WMF mill.

- Assembly: Remove the broken adjustment knob and screw the printed part onto the existing metal thread. This restores smooth adjustment of the grind size.

- Material Note: It is recommended to use food-safe PETG or PLA.

🖨 Recommended Print Settings

- 🧵 Material: PLA / PETG (PETG recommended for better flexibility and long-term mechanical durability).

- 📐 Orientation: Vertical (Upright).

- ⬢ Nozzle: 0.4 mm

- 📦 Wall lines: 3-4

- 📏 Layer Height: 0.1 mm (crucial for thread precision).

- 🧱 Infill: 50% General / 90% in the thread area (use modifier boxes in your slicer) to ensure maximum stability.

- 🏗 Supports: Not required.

🔍 Design Details

- Precision Fit: The design uses a tight-tolerance thread for a secure hold without the need for glue.

- Stability Mod: The thread area should be optimized with 90% infill to withstand the mechanical stress during installation and daily use.

💡 Ersatz-Verstellrad für WMF Pfeffer oder Salzmühle

Passgenaues Ersatzteil für das Mahlwerk. Bei meiner WMF Pfeffermühle war das Gewinde des Verstellrads defekt (ausgenudelt). Da es dieses Teil offiziell nur im Set mit dem kompletten Keramik-Mahlwerk als teures Ersatzteil gibt – und sich zudem die Maße bei neueren Versionen geändert haben sollen – habe ich mich für ein eigenes Design entschieden.

🛠 Installation & Zubehör

- Zubehör: Du benötigst eine WMF Mühle

- Montage: Das gebrochene Einstellrad entfernen und das ausgedruckte einfach auf das vorhandene Gewinde aufschrauben. Jetzt ist die Einstellung des Mahlwerks wieder problemlos möglich.

- Verwendung: Empfehlung PETG oder PLA zu verwenden welches lebensmittelecht ist.
