WT32-SC01 ESP32 – 3D model

This is a 3D model of the WT32-SC01 microcontroller board with 3.5" touch screen. It is not a case and it is not for 3D printing . Use this model to integrate it into larger designs in your preferred CAD program.

I originally found a model uploaded by Руслан Жалинский (Ruslan Zhalinsky) on GrabCAD , but it had the wrong dimensions. The actual device is about 90.9mm wide by 58.3mm tall, whereas the GrabCAD model was 97.9mm wide by 58.0mm tall. This is a major difference, and it makes it impossible to use the model to create a case for this board or to use it into a complete design with more components. The dimensions are now correct and match the real microcontroller board very closely.

I spent some time cutting up and re-adjusting parts of the GrabCAD model to eventually match the real device. I used calipers to make sure my changes matched the real product as closely as possible, for example moving the GPIO connectors to the correct position, etc. I also used a reference diagram from the manufacturer to validate my measurements.

STL and STEP files are provided if you only want to import the geometry. Note: the display is not connected to the PCB, and only “floats” parallel to it. This is not an issue if you use this as part of a design with other elements, to see how the board would fit in the overall build, but it also means that you can't really 3D print it.

I've attached a Fusion 360 file, this is the one to use to integrate this board into a build where it's only one of multiple elements. Its various components are defined as separate bodies, so you can change them separately or adjust their appearance at will. They already all have some appearance set to try to be somewhat close to what the real device looks like.
