16 Psyche scaled one in four million

This model was made using MATLAB R2016a combining the south hemisphere from Shepard (2017), based on the radar images; and the north hemisphere from Viikinkoski (2018), based on direct images; both models available in the 3D Asteroid Catalogue site.

The file's names explained: name_1_x_10_y.stl is 1 : x* 10^y. So _1_6_10_7 is 1:600000000 or one in 60 million.

16 Psyche

Psyche is the largest known M-type asteroid, which is an asteroid that has a mostly metallic composition on the surface, especially iron. Because of that it is though that Psyche is an exposed nucleus of a protoplanet, similar to Vesta . Both of them are though to be disrupted by giant collisions before aglomerate enough to form a planetary object. Its surface is expected to have a different relief compared with rocky and icy body.
