Aventon Level.2 Kryptonite U-lock mount adapter

Motivation

The U-lock mount that comes with the Kryptonite kit isn't very secure – it works best with round tubes, which the Aventon Level.2 doesn't really have.

Therefore, I created this instead, for which you can scavenge parts from the Kryptonite mount to mount the lock to the seat tube.

Tested over about 9 miles, seemed sturdy enough.

Hardware

- to clamp the mount to the seat tube - Quantity 3 M5 x 14 mm - Quantity 3 M5 regular nuts or lock nuts - lock interface - Quantity 3 M5 thin jam nuts - Quantity 3 M5x10 mm for the lock interface - to clamp the Kryptonite part to the mount - Quantity one m4 lock nut - Quantity one m4x14 mm socket head cap screw - you will need a Kryptonite part which actually interfaces with the lock 2023-10-21 future improvements

I'm abandoning this project in favor of a better mount for my bike. If I were to continue, I would:

- deepen the M4 locknut recess - reinforce the recess – it was bulging out under high torque - consider printing a variant with the lock fully horizontal rather than vertical, & parallel to the midplane of the bike
