Merry Christmas tree ornament

2023 update: This is the old version of the first model I created. It is not perfect and does need fine-tuning and help from the slicer to better print. I have uploaded fixed a couple issues and also updated this ornament. You can find it on this page.

2022 update: I needed to reprint this model, but I had a couple failures. A couple of the letters kept falling off mid-print. I can see during slicing the stl that if I were redesigning it currently I would design it to make printing easier more optimized. But I figured if I could print this on my old Trinus printer, it would print fine on the new one. I forgot that I needed to print have Rafts with every print on my Trinus and that helped the print stay together. I will leave up this file, but please know that you will have to do slicer optimization with rafts and supports to have an increased chance of a successful print.

I made this as a Christmas gift for my grandmothers. There is a hole through through the top bar to add decorative string or yarn though.

Because iI was using transparent filament, I printed this completely solid for infill. It is not necessary to do this high of infill rate, but does help the trees feel not as brittle.

The dimensions are 100 mm wide x 99 mm tall x 7.50 mm thick. This should scale up just fine. However, I don't think it will scale down at all.
