Ikea Applaro patio table support bracket

This support bracket helped extend the life of my Ikea ÄPPLARÖ patio table by reinforcing the edge connection of the table surface slats.

I am providing this model as an example of how I have reinforced my own table. There are many variables in making a model (printer settings, material choice, etc.) that can affect the properties of the finished product. Do not use this until you contact the manufacturer to verify the safety of any modification you make to your table. Follow all manufacturer's directions to ensure the safe use of the table.

Design features

- Multiple screw hole options depending on the condition of your table. - Screw holes are sized for 1.25" #8 wood screws (North American standard, countersunk). Printing instructions

- Print as oriented in the .stl file. Installation instructions

Important: Check the screw depth before installing (put the screw into the model and check that it is the correct depth).

Tip: Use a screwdriver and be careful not to crack the plastic as you tighten!

- Place the support bracket against the bottom of the slat and push it all the way to the side bar (see picture). - While keeping firm pressure on the bracket, fasten one of the slat screws to hold it in position. - Fasten as many other screws as you need for your table. I suggest: - at least two side screws - the top side screw (closest to the side wall) - at least three slat screws Safety notes
