Refectory, Skellig Michael, Co Kerry, Ireland

The refectory of the monastic enclosure on the small island of Skellig Michael, off the southwest coast of Ireland. It might have been constructed some time in the 8th century. The monastery was in use until the late 12th century. The island is an important location in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

In the model, the texture distorts near the top of the dome and the final courses of masonry are missing. I could't get a view of the top of the building. The projecting stones around the dome gave access to the top where the loose cap stones could be removed to provide a smoke hole. So, let's say that's why the top courses are missing in the model!
