AmazonBasics Filament Spool Roller for Cereal Drybox

Built myself a bunch of dryboxes with rollers so i can print directly from them as well as store in a non-humid enviroment and found out that AmazonBasics Filament spool does not fit most rollers in the (ubiquotus) cereal box, so I decided to fix that.

The design is supper simple, but effective, and is dedicated to the Amazon spools. You will have to source 2 x 608zz bearings 8x22x7mm(thickness) though. The frame needs to be mirrored and fits in the lid nicely. No need to glue or stick it down, but you can do so if you wish (maybe it will help prevent too much friction against the container, once the spool is almost empty and hence lighter). I found that is quite stable once the spool is on and the added little movment can help in perfectly locating the spool into the box itself since there is no way the spool doesen't touch the container itself. But thanks to the bearings, the friction is very small and it still rotates nicely.

Be mindful the bearing flanges have different sizes as the spool itself has a taper, and theese need to fit snug on each side to keep everything centered. There is a lable-side (spool amazon lable) and a non-lable-side acordingly (the difference between them is 1mm)

The cereal box I'm using advertises 24L x 18.4W x 38H cm and is bought from amazon (the one with the 3 grooves on the sides).
