3D Models of Nameplates and Name Tags to Print

This collection gathers nameplate files made for 3D printing: desk signs, small tags for miniature bases, labels for drawers and cases, and personalized plates for gifts. Most of them are text-based, so the shape is simple and the result depends on how you set up the lettering. It helps when you need a readable plate rather than a decorative figure. Sobre a categoria

«3D Models of Nameplates and Name Tags to Print»

The plates differ mainly in purpose and size. Desk versions are wide and often stand on a small foot or a folded base, while miniature nameplates are thin strips that sit on a base edge or a round plinth. Gift and glass tags are smaller still, sometimes with a hole for a ring or a cord, and storage labels are flat rectangles sized to a drawer or a case.

When choosing, read the author's page for the plate dimensions, the letter height and the number of separate parts, since thin text and tall letters behave differently on an FDM printer. Check whether the model is meant to be printed in one piece or assembled from a base and an insert, and whether supports are needed for overhangs. Layer height and nozzle diameter matter more than usual here: small text often reads better with a smaller nozzle and a lower layer height, and a photo of a real print shows how the letters came out.

If the results are too narrow, try related wording: name tag, desk sign, label, badge, plaque, door sign or base marker. Adding a use case such as office, workshop, drawer, trophy, board game or gift usually narrows the list faster than adding a style word. Swapping between English and other languages for the same object also brings up different files, because authors title these plates in their own language.

FAQ

Perguntas frequentes

What file formats do nameplate models usually come in?
Most are shared as STL, and some authors also include STEP or 3MF. The model page states which files are inside the download, so check that before printing.
How do I make the text on a nameplate readable?
Use a smaller nozzle and a lower layer height than for large objects, and slow the print down. Also check the letter height given by the author, because very small text tends to blur on FDM printers.
Can I change the name or the wording?
Many plates are made for editing, either in the slicer as separate text objects or in a CAD file the author provides. The page usually explains which parts can be changed and which are fixed.
Do these plates need supports?
Flat plates printed face up usually do not, while standing desk signs with overhangs may. The author's page and photos of real prints show the orientation that was used.
