Printer-related mounts usually attach a stepper to an axis, an extruder or a frame, and they differ mainly in how they tension the belt and where the screws go. Radio-controlled and drone mounts are built around round brushless cans and often include a clamp or a screw ring, while generic stands and spacers simply hold a motor in place on a bench or inside a housing. Scale model and slot car holders are much smaller and follow the proportions of the vehicle rather than any standard frame.

Before printing, read the author's page for the motor size and bolt spacing the mount was drawn around, since a few millimetres of difference will stop the screws from lining up. Check how many separate parts the design has, whether the belt or shaft needs clearance, and whether the author lists a material and wall settings. Photos of finished prints help you judge whether the part was made to be rigid or slightly flexible.
