WLtoys 3D Printing: Bodies, Parts and Chassis

This collection covers STL files made for WLtoys RC cars, from body shells and bumpers to gearbox covers and chassis plates. It is useful when a stock part breaks or when you want a different body on a chassis you already own. Many of these are small mechanical parts, so 3D printing lets you adjust dimensions before committing to a full print. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«WLtoys 3D Printing: Bodies, Parts and Chassis»

The files fall into a few groups. Body shells range from scale touring-car shapes to truck and crawler bodies, and they differ mainly in wheelbase and in how they mount. Mechanical parts include shock towers, differential covers, battery brackets and suspension pieces, while chassis plates and adapters change the wheelbase or let a body sit on a different platform. Detail items such as bumpers and spoilers are usually the smallest prints in the collection.

Before printing, compare the dimensions on the model page with your own car: wheelbase, body width, mounting hole spacing and the height of the posts. Check how many parts the model has, whether they need assembly or glue, and whether the author reports that supports are required. Look at the material and settings listed, since thin shells and load-bearing suspension parts behave differently, and read the photos of real prints to judge wall thickness and finish.

To narrow the results, search by the chassis code or by the part name rather than by the brand alone. Useful synonyms include body shell, bodyshell, spare parts, upgrade parts, shock tower, differential cover and bumper. Related topics that often lead to usable files are RC crawler, truggy, short course truck and scale body conversions.

FAQ

Sıkça sorulan sorular

Which WLtoys cars do these files cover?
Titles in the collection reference several chassis families, including short-wheelbase touring cars, larger off-road trucks and truggies. The exact model is usually stated on the author's page, so match it against your own car.
Do printed body shells need supports?
It depends on the shape. Shells with overhanging roofs or deep wheel arches often need them, while flat-sided designs may not. The author's notes and print photos are the quickest way to check.
What should I check before printing a suspension or drivetrain part?
Look at the dimensions, the mounting points and the material the author used. Parts that carry load benefit from a tougher filament and a higher infill, and orientation matters for strength along the layer lines.
How do I find a body that matches my chassis?
Compare the wheelbase and body width given on the model page with your car's measurements. Adapters and chassis plates in the collection exist precisely to bridge differences between platforms.
