This adjustable router template is designed to help create clean and accurately positioned hinge recesses in doors using a handheld router.

The main body clamps directly onto the edge of the door. Its adjustable construction makes the template suitable for doors with a thickness of 38 mm and above . The maximum supported door thickness depends on the length of the threaded rods used and the physical adjustment range of the main body.

The template is secured to the door by evenly tightening the four clamping nuts. This provides a stable setup without requiring screws or additional clamps to be attached to the door.

Two interchangeable hinge inserts are included (on request others are possible):

- 76 × 76 mm hinge insert - 89 × 89 mm hinge insert Select the required insert, slide it into the main body, and secure it with an M6 × 20 bolt . The inserts can be exchanged making the template useful when working with different hinge sizes.

Important use information

Check that the selected insert matches the actual hinge dimensions before routing. Always make a test cut on scrap material first, especially when using a different router bit or guide-bushing setup.

Make sure all four clamping nuts and the insert locking bolt are securely tightened before starting the router. Follow the router manufacturer’s safety instructions and use appropriate eye, hearing, and dust protection.
