Description

Modular vertical stand for all your standing needs!

Including tablets, laptops, phones, gaming handhelds, anything that's slab shaped and can be fit into a rectangular space, you can stand it up! Another episode of “I didn't find exactly what I needed so I made my own” series, enjoy!

Edit Nov 24 2024: Added clips of thickness of 26, 28, 30, 32.5, 35, 37.5 and 40mm. Rearranged the clips so the print profile doesn't have a ton of print plates. Edit Oct 17 2024: I've updated the print plate to include all thicknesses ranging from 10mm to 24mm in a 2mm increment for your convenience.

Main features:

- Modular! Fit however many things, however thick of a thing, in whatever order you like . - Minimalist symmetrical streamlined look and sturdy enough holding things stationary. - Easy and fast to print, no support needed and does not consume a ton of filament . The sample print plate profile includes two middle pieces, two side pieces, and two 12mm (eg: Samsung S24U w/ case) and 16mm (eg: MacBook Air M1) clips respectively. - Easy to put together and take apart. If you want to add another device, just print an extra middle piece and two extra clips. - Easy to modify for a specific thickness. This stand works the best if the thickness is within +-2mm of tolerance. I've already provided thicknesses ranging from 10mm to 30mm in a 2mm increment and 32.5mm-40mm in a 2.5mm increment. You can - Download the .stl file yourself - Slice the model in half - Add/remove the extra thickness you want - Splice the two parts back together - You get a clip that can fit however thick of a thing you want! Guides and print profiles

Print profiles and steps

0.28mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill Using support is NOT required and NOT recommended. The tolerance has already been accounted for.

Clip sizes from 10-30mm with a 2mm increment and 32.5-40 with a 2.5mm increment have all been included.

I find 0.28mm + variable layer height and 2 walls to be quite satisfying already.

0.28mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill

A1 mini profile with various sizes included Same as main profile of designer but with possibility to print from A1 mini with all different sizes clips.

I find that sometimes to fit pieces you may need to adjust clips to scale by 95-99%

IMPROVED V2 - Strnger+texture 0.2mm layr, 2 wall, 15% infl UPDATED VERSION 2: TLDR: Redesign adds numbers on the clips and improves part strength/appearance.

Improvements: MAJOR: - Added texture (fuzzy skin) to hide the 3d print lines in the curve and improve appearance. Old version has very noticeable layer lines. (newer feature) - Added numbers to all clips. Reduces the number of times you need to use a calipers to adjust. - Single build plate can now print 3 slot holder sent directly from the app. Common clips are all on the plate and can be skipped to customize. Additional build plate for rare larger sizes.

Minor: - Increased parts height by 20% to improve stability and strengthen the clips. - Added alternating layer-lock to significantly increase strength in the clips without adding weight. (newer feature) - Decreased layer height to .20 to improve surface appearance without adding weights. Additionally increases strength by 52% (going to .16 would further improve by another 15% if needed) - Added ironing to the topmost layer to clean it up.

Cons: Slightly longer print time. Increased material by 8%. increases standoff from surface by 1mm.
