Description

This model has a bunch of cut-outs along one side which allow the track to bend over 90 degrees, or about 1.57 radians! What's even more insane is that this was printed out of regular PLA. It does resist a bit when you push it that far, but gentle curves show no problem at all. You could probably bend it more easily if you print this with petg, but that's not what this part is for.

I dropped the cars from 10 cm high (standard ramp from older model) and they easily made it through even the sharpest of angles. The trick is that the track is smooth on a little strip on the outside of the track and that cars don't touch the rough inner walls. Even when the track is bent the wrong way, my cars still didn't struggle with the bumpy surfaces.

I included files for a 220 mm long track and a 250 mm long track. The one in the pictures (that can bend over 90 degrees) is 220 mm.

To keep the track in the desired shape, use two of my attachable tracks: https://www.printables.com/model/896859

Connector:

PLA works well enough with some trial and error, but PETG is way more durable and easier to use.

Insert them into the slots by putting one corner in the slot, and then pushing the other corner inwards. (see pictures)

You can remove them by pulling straight, but off-center.

It is easier to remove connectors by inserting a screwdriver through the hole and pulling, but this is only necessary when printed in PLA.

To connect two pieces of track together simply insert the connector in one of them, and then fit the other onto it at an angle.
