Description
Welcome to Palenque! 🇲🇽
The Ancient Ruins Collection - Mesoamerica is a dedicated subcollection to the legacy of past civilizations in parts of what is present-day Mexico and Central America.
This model was originally made by Leonardo Almírez and adjusted for 3D printing by Dany Sánchez .
Palenque was a Maya city-state in southern Mexico that existed from ca. 226 BC to ca. 799 AD.
The Temple of the Inscriptions ( Classic Maya: Bʼolon Yej Teʼ Naah “House of the Nine Sharpened Spears”) is the largest Mesoamerican stepped pyramid in Palenque. The structure was specifically built as the funerary monument for K'inich Janaab' Pakal , ruler of Palenque in the 7th century. Within Palenque. It is located at a right angle to the Southeast of the Palace.
The Temple of the Inscriptions has been significant in the study of the ancient Maya, owing to the extraordinary sample of hieroglyphic text found on the Inscription Tablets, the impressive sculptural panels on the piers (bearing both carved images and the hieroglyphic texts in Maya script for which the temple was named), and inside the temple, the crypt containing the sarcophagus of Pakal (from Wikipedia ).

Printing Tips
No supports needed, this has been optimized to eliminate all overhangs.
NOTE: Your slicer may indicate errors or strange surfaces, as well as some warnings. We have test printed this and it prints fine. The errors are due to the conversion from surface model into manifold for 3D printing, some surfaces had inverted normals.
Suggested parameters:
Without input shaper, print slow for better details: 15 or 20mm/s for outer perimeters. Fine-tune retraction to avoid stringing. Perimeters: 2 Top layers: 3 Infill: as low as 12%
