Looping for Custom Hot Wheels Track System

This is a looping for my Hot Wheels Track System. It is an approximation of a clothoid loop. This uses two radii, 200 mm for the bottom and 110 mm for the top. This smoothes out the forces acting on the car, making it lose less speed and increasing reliability (compared to a circular loop).

The car needs quite a lot of speed, so I recommend building a ramp from a table to the floor. It's very reliable, and most of my cars can make the loop every time without crashing. If you do notice your cars crashing, try pulling the loop tight so the transitions don't cause bumps.

It moves around a bit, but that doesn't cause problems. If this bothers you, I already have uploaded a model to secure tracks to the ground. You can find it on my profile.

How to print:

Print each model sideways at 0.1 mm layer height. If you notice rough overhangs, try slowing down the print and decreasing temperature. Also consider adding a brim or mouse ears to avoid lifting corners.

Connector:

PLA works well enough with some trial and error, but PETG is way more durable and easier to use.

Insert them into the slots by putting one corner in the slot, and then pushing the other corner inwards. (see pictures)

You can remove them by pulling straight, but off-center.

It is easier to remove connectors by inserting a screwdriver through the hole and pulling, but this is only necessary when printed in PLA.

To connect two pieces of track together simply insert the connector in one of them, and then fit the other onto it at an angle.
