K1C Adapters for use with V2 and V3 270 degree hinges

- For those not wanting to read all this text before deciding on what parts and upgrades there are, I have added an extra image to the pictures with a breakdown of all the main options. I highly advise giving it a quick read before committing to printing. An alternate set of adapter plates that provide the ability for K1C (and late model K1 with new K1C type enclosures) to use my V2 and V3 270 degree K1/K1 Max hinges, but also for using the V3 side covers on these new adapters.

These two new pieces replace the side hinge pieces of the V2 full hinge set (V2 is a full set for K1 and K1 Max with everything required for a complete hinge set). Version 2 was designed to use panels that were placed on the hinges during fitting and be screwed in place, this made changing the covers a bit of a chore if you fancied a change.

Version 3 was an upgrade to allow for the use of magnets and the 4 main hinge pieces were redesigned with the facility to fit the required magnets while also having a few minor changes done. Version 3 also required all the rest of the parts from V2 to assemble such as pins and connection pieces.

The 2 adapter plates in this download replace the 2 side hinge pieces of either the V2 main set, or the V3 magnetic hinge upgrade set. They keep compatibility with all the hinge fronts I have released. Version 1 (now deleted), Version 2 and version 3 front hinge pieces will all happily connect to these new side hinge pieces without issue.

As these 2 parts are based on the V3 side hinge pieces and have the magnet apertures, you can add any V3 side pieces to these two parts. Version one only had one pair of plates and only for the front parts of the hinge. Version 2 (screw type) have multiple complete sets for all four V2 hinge parts. Version 3 also has multiple complete cover sets for all V3 parts.

The other K1C adapters available in my downloads are too small for the larger side hinge cover plates and only have the one pair of covers available for them. For those not interested in using cover plates the smaller adapters are still the better option in terms of time to print and filament used.

These hinge pieces are thicker than any previous versions. This was done to allow for using 10mm screws but also to allow the heads of the screws to clear the V3 cover plates. The V3 cover plates were created for the K1 and K1 Max. The plates have cutouts for the 60-65mm spaced screws so the hinge portions could be thinner (the heads of the screws being in the void area of the covers). Going back to the already released V3 plates would have been a mammoth task for adding new voids for the K1C screws while also affecting the integrity of the plates themselves. Instead I added additional thickness to these adapters to compensate without having to redo ever hinge panel created so far.
