V3 K1 series Magnetic cover plate set for V3 270 degree hinge

Update 10th September 2024 :- Added a lower hinge cover plate for the K1C. See note at the bottom of this text for more info to use that addition.

A set of quick change cover plates for my 3rd version of the K1 series 270 degree hinges. These are designed solely for use on V3 and will not fit the earlier versions .

The two smaller hinge face plates require a total of four 5x1mm magnets (2 per plate).

The larger side hinge face plates requires a total of six 5x1mm magnets (3 per plate).

This set caters to all 3 currently available K series printers. The front top cover is the creality logo. The bottom front cover you can pick your specific model plate. Side plates are the same options. K1C enclosure owners don't have the side plate option as their side plate adapter is too small to use these plates, they can only use the front covers.

I previously started down the face plate path with version 2 of my hinge. But to change the plates on V2 meant removing the hinge screws to swap a set over. Version 3 uses magnets for the plates instead. So on version 3, if you fancy a different look, you can instantly slide the current plates off and drop a different set in their place.

I had initially completed and uploaded around six of the eleven sets I had intended doing for the V2 Hinge.

At the time of uploading the version 3 magnetic hinge I only have a few sets fully completed. I plan to get to work on recreating and uploading the currently released V2 sets in Magnetic V3 form this week. If you want a particular one of those from the V2 sets in V3 form bumped up the list, leave me a message. It doesn't matter to me what order I do them in so I am happy to prioritise any that users might want sooner rather than later.

My demo test pieces were done at fat layer heights. I advise printing them at low layer heights for better quality. Strength of the part doesn't matter as there are no stresses involved in their use.

Note:- K1C and some new K1 printers that come with a K1C enclosure cannot use the V3 side hinge portion with the small k1c adapters. Only the front panel covers are available to K1C (20mm screw space) case owners using those small versions.
