PC Fan Covers, Filters and Adapters: 3D Models

This collection gathers 3D models that sit around a PC fan: covers and grilles, dust filters, ducting adapters, brackets and simple stands. Most are small parts that take little material, so they are a practical first project for 3D printing. The files vary in diameter and mounting pattern, which is the main thing to compare before you download an STL. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«PC Fan Covers, Filters and Adapters: 3D Models»

Covers and grilles are the largest group. Some are plain protective rings, others are decorative covers printed in two or three colours with floral or geometric patterns, and a few act as shrouds that change how air leaves the fan. They differ mainly in fan diameter, mounting hole spacing, overall thickness and how the colour changes are arranged across the surface.

Filters and airflow parts form the second group: mesh filter assemblies, ducting adapters that join one fan size to another, velocity stacks and brackets for drive bays. Before printing, check the fan size and screw spacing the author lists, the clearance around the blades, whether the part needs supports, and the material and settings shown. Photos of real prints on the model page usually answer questions about fit and finish faster than the description.

To widen or narrow the search, try the words people use for the same object: grille, shroud, guard, spacer, duct, mesh, bracket, mount. Related topics are worth a look too, such as case modding, mini PC enclosures, monitor risers, and fan swaps on printers or other equipment. Adding a diameter such as 80, 92, 120 or 140 mm to the query removes most of the irrelevant results.

FAQ

Sıkça sorulan sorular

How do I know which fan size a model fits?
The author usually states the diameter and the screw hole spacing on the model page. Measure your fan across the mounting holes rather than the frame, since frames of the same nominal size can differ slightly.
Do fan covers and filters need supports?
Flat covers and grilles often print without them, while ducts, brackets and parts with overhangs may need support. The author's notes and print photos show how the part was oriented.
Which material works for parts near a running fan?
PLA is common for covers and stands, while PETG or ABS are often chosen for parts that sit in a warmer enclosure. The material and settings the author lists are the safest starting point.
Can a printed adapter change the fan size?
Yes, adapters and ducts exist that step between common sizes such as 80, 92, 120 and 140 mm. Check the inlet and outlet dimensions and the depth the part adds to the assembly.
