Flycolor ESC Mounts and Protectors: 3D Models

This collection gathers STL files that hold, cover or cool Flycolor speed controllers in RC boats and cars. Most entries are simple brackets, trays and protectors that a 3D printer can produce in a single run. It is useful when the stock mounting points in a hull or chassis do not line up with the ESC you want to use. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«Flycolor ESC Mounts and Protectors: 3D Models»

The models fall into a few groups. Boat-oriented parts are usually flat trays or cradles that sit on a hull floor and keep the controller from sliding, while car and truck versions tend to be small brackets that bolt to a chassis rail or to an existing screw pattern. Protectors are box-like covers that shield the board, and fan mounts hold a small cooling fan above the heatsink. Decorative housings and novelty shapes appear as well, mostly as one-piece prints.

When choosing a file, compare the listed outer dimensions of the ESC with the inner dimensions of the mount, and check the screw hole spacing rather than trusting the name alone. Look at how many separate parts the design has and whether they need fasteners, tape or glue to assemble. Read the material and settings the author lists, since thin brackets behave differently in rigid and flexible filaments, and look at photos of real prints to judge wall thickness and fit.

If the first search is thin, try other words for the same object: bracket, holder, cradle, tray, base, shroud or duct. Searching by the hull or chassis the part is meant for, or by the controller's current rating, often turns up mounts filed under a different name. Related topics such as motor mounts, receiver boxes and battery straps use the same fixing points, so they can suggest a layout that also works for the ESC.

FAQ

Preguntas frecuentes

What is a Flycolor ESC mount used for?
It fixes the speed controller in place inside a boat hull or on a car chassis so it cannot shift during use. Many designs also raise the controller slightly for airflow or to clear other parts.
How do I know a mount will fit my controller?
Compare the dimensions and screw spacing given on the model page with your own ESC. Where the page lists only a current rating, measure the case and the mounting holes before printing.
Which filament works for these parts?
It depends on the position: parts near heat or vibration are often printed in a tougher filament, while covers can use a stiffer one. The author's page usually names the material and settings used for the shown print.
Do these parts need supports?
Flat trays and brackets often print without them, while covers with overhangs may need them. Check the orientation shown in the author's photos and the notes on the model page.
