The models fall into a few groups. Extruder drive gears and compact extruder bodies are usually small, printed in one or two pieces and paired with a motor and a bearing. Gearboxes and cycloidal drives are larger assemblies with several stages, a housing and a shaft interface. A drive gear is a single toothed part that turns a shaft or feeds filament. A gearbox is an assembly of several gears, a housing and output shaft, and it is usually printed as multiple pieces that must be joined.

Check the tooth profile or module, the number of teeth and the bore or shaft diameter on the author's page. These three values decide whether two gears work together, regardless of how the model looks.
Do these models need supports?

Can I scale a gear model up or down?
